Benicia Poetry Group Wants Your Love Poems
Winning poems in Annual Love Poetry contest will be read at a Valentine's celebration at the Benicia Historical Museum.
The Benicia Poet Laureate Program in conjunction with the and the are sponsoring a love poetry contest for Benicians. Submissions for the Annual Love Poetry Contest will be accepted beginning today, October 11 through Wednesday, November 30.
Winning entries and those earning an honorable mention will be read at an awards celebration and reading on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Benicia Historical Museum.
Besides poetry, those attending the awards celebration will get to enjoy roses and chocolate and a gathering of the community to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Winning poems will be published in the Benicia Herald and on Benicia Patch and printed on commemorative, 17" & 11" broadsheets for each poet.
