Patch Picks: Great Places to Watch the Super Bowl

We went looking for the coolest places to watch the big game.

Patch went around town to talk to restaurant and bar owners about their plans for the Superbowl.  Some owners close the doors and go to their neighbor's house to enjoy the game with friends and let others do the cooking.

  • - It will have the game on and the salad bar stocked.  No specials for the game but you'll have hot pizza at half-time and there are usually a group of regulars who show up for the game.
  • - The fried chicken with all the fixins is free to all.  The drink specials aren't.  The food will be served from 4:00 p.m.
  • - There are two big screens and a large one topping pizza will only set you back $9.99 if you buy three and $14.99 for a two topping pizza if you buy two. There's a free mug of beer with purchase of a large pizza and a free pitcher with an extra large pie.
  • - Lots of TVs including a big projection screen and barbequed ribs and chicken with side dishes.  It costs $10.00.   If you need to salve your social conscience while watching the game, you can participate in a raffle where the grand prize is a football autographed by Vernon Davis of the San Francisco 49ers.  Proceeds will benefit the Benicia High School athletic department.
  • -It doesn't have the biggest TV in town but it does have Mexican food, the perfect accompaniment to any event, especially a sporting one.
