Ace Hardware Reaches Then Extends Fundraising Goal for Superstorm Sandy Victims

The fundraising effort is similar to one that raised money for earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan last year.

Two days after Superstorm Sandy wreaked havoc in New Jersey and New York on October 29, Pedrotti Ace Hardware owner Gene Pedrotti announced

Pedrotti pledged to match donations by customers dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000.

The Vallejo Times-Herald reports that Pedrotti Ace Hardware reached the goal on Friday, November 16 and then extended the effort, pledging to match customer donations up to $25,000 for a total of $50,000.
