“The impact of this disaster has been absolutely catastrophic,” Ashley Zepernick, Raley’s spokeswoman said in a statement released Monday. “We recognize the huge need for support and we want to provide our customers with an easy way to contribute and feel confident that their donations are reaching people in need.”

In March 2010, the Sacramento Sierra Chapter of the American Red Cross received a check for more than $149,000 – its largest donation – for the Haiti Relief and Development Fund on behalf of Raley’s. The money was raised by the donations from customers and employees.
