Sprouts and Shutters: A First Street Business Closes

Patch will periodically tell readers about businesses that are opening and closing in Benicia.

Shutter: Driftwood Trading Company at 601 First Street has shut the doors and cleaned out the space.  The business was originally called Little Wings.

The building owner, Alan Schwartzman – sometimes known as Councilman Schwartzman to the local wags who hang out at City Hall- says he is close to inking a deal with a new tenant.  He wouldn’t give up the tenant’s name or the type of business.
