Wave Functions by Eric Deck

Curving gracefully, like a sine wave
With perfect symmetry
Repeating itself, fractalizing time
Always drawing me back

I curve back in cyclic time
For the sweet taste of  those curves
Forever regressing, returning to you
Always wanting the same thing

You're magnetic, like the South Pole,
And my polar, sinusoidal coordinates always return,
In a vain attempt, like Robert Falcon Scott's,
To conquer you

You nervously bite your sine wave lips,
And your sinusoidal magnetism draws me in
And our wave functions meet. . .
But I'm stuck in Heisenberg Uncertainty
So I observe. . .
And we collapse into a single point
