Benicia Police Log: Big Boom on Southampton, Money Stolen on Riverhill and a Suspicious Car on East Industrial

1:41 a.m.: A resident on Southampton Road reported hearing a loud boom. Investigating officers found nothing amiss in the area.

2:44 a.m.: A resident on Riverhill reported a theft.

7:53 a.m.: A resident on Riverhill reported having proof that an acquaintance stole some money.

10:25 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on Sherman.

2:49 p.m.: A vehicle was towed from Military East because it was a traffic hazard.

4:15 p.m.: A suspicious vehicle parked on East Industrial Way belonged to an area worker.

7:42 p.m.: There was a case of domestic violence that occurred on East N Street.

8:56 p.m.: There was a physical altercation between members of a family on Del Centro.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
