Benicia Police Log: Dog Tossed from Car Avoids Capture, Man Selling Pot Doesn’t

1:09 a.m.: Police notified a resident on Kearney the garage door at the residence was open.

8:33 a.m.: The person who kept two dogs locked in a car overnight was given a warning.

10:31 a.m.: A loose dog was located and returned to its person on El Bonito.

10:40 a.m.: Officers began an investigation into a case of identity fraud.  The victim lives on Essex.

10:47 a.m.: A resident on London has a dog that was barking while the resident wasn’t home.

10:49 a.m.: A couple on Southampton Road were having a loud argument when officers arrived.  Officers talked to the couple and the male half agreed to leave for the remainder of the day.

12:41 p.m.: The Animal Control Officer was unable to catch a small dog that was tossed out of a car by a female driver.  The police log doesn’t indicate which part of Hell the woman will reside in.

1:01 p.m.: It appeared to investigating officers that the alarm activation at a home on West Seaview was a malfunction.

4:15 p.m.: Officers began an investigation into a possible case of identity fraud on Buena Vista.

6:51 p.m.: A vehicle parked on Military East was burglarized.

8:04 p.m.: The person who belonged to the dog running off-leash on Bayshore Road was informed about city leash laws.

8:19 p.m.: The house on East I Street where the alarm went off appeared to officers to be secure.

8:33 p.m.: Officers received a complaint about the way a car was being driven on First Street.  They had a discussion about safe non-offensive driving with the vehicle's driver.

11:01 p.m.: A 21-year-old Benicia man was arrested on an array of charges including possession of marijuana for sale, battery on a police officer, vandalism and violating probation.  The man went to the county jail and may still be there.

11:50 p.m.: There were people with flashlights in a grove of trees near Lupine.
