Benicia Police Log: Panic Button, Two Cars Repossessed and Two Unwanted Guests

12:23 a.m.: An unwanted guest at a home on Lori Drive finally left when police were called.

1:00 a.m.: A citation was issued to an illegally parked vehicle on Goodyear Road.

1:20 a.m.: Officers were called to a Southampton Road residence where they were asked for advice on a tenant/landlord issue.

2:29 a.m.: A vehicle that had been reported stolen was located and revered on Columbus Parkway.

3:24 a.m.: A 32-year-old Stockton woman was arrested for driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance.   The arrest took place on Military East.

10:09 a.m.: Officers were unable to locate the driver of a truck seen picking through donations left for a non-profit foundation.

1:38 p.m.: Property belonging to a person from Vallejo was found on East J Street. 

2:04 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into the firing of a pellet gun on Buena Vista.

3:11 p.m.: A suspicion person was reportedly at Dillon Point, but officers would find anything suspicious when they arrived on the scene.

3:29 p.m.: There was a report of illegal dumping taking place on East B Street but officers wouldn’t find anything that had been dumped.

4:55 p.m.: The people thought to be in the midst of a domestic disturbance on Southampton Road were actually goofing around.

4:59 p.m.: There was a traffic collision with minor injuries on Interstate 780.

5:38 p.m.: A citizen on Military East wanted to speak to an officer regarding a parking issue.

8:08 p.m.: Officers talked to a citizen on West G who was in violation of a city code.

9:10: Officers assisted in a re-possession on Park Road.

9:27 p.m.: Officers received a report of a suspicious circumstance on Church Street.  They did an area check and could nothing suspicious.

9:41 p.m.: Officers assisted in a re-possession on York.

9:45 p.m.: There was an unwanted guest on West F Street.  The guest was gone when officers arrived.

10:00 p.m.: Somebody pressed the panic button in a car parked on Sunset.  When officers arrive, the car and driver were no to be found.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
