Benicia Police Log: Two Cars Towed, a Prowler and Drivers Being Reckless

1:57 a.m.: There was a verbal disturbance on West G. Officer spoke to everyone involved.

2:08 a.m.: Police received a report of a group of loud kids in a Rose Drive area park.  Officers checked the park and found no kids.

4:53 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a city owned facility on east K Street.

8:48 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a residence on West Eighth Street where a prowler was reportedly trying to enter a yard.  The prowler was gone when officers arrived.

10:19 a.m.: A resident on West J Street failed to turn off the burglar alarm in a timely fashion.

11:24 a.m.: Police were notified of an attempt to steal copper wire from an address on Hillcrest.

12:31 p.m.: Police received reports of solicitors on West G Street.

7:59 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate a solicitor who was reported on El Bonito.

8:19 p.m.: Officers had a car towed from Solano Square after it was determined the driver had a suspended license.

9:09 p.m.: Police received a report of several vehicles driving recklessly on the gravel parking lot on East B Street.  The vehicles were gone when officers arrived.

9:55 p.m.: A car was towed from the vicinity of East O Street for having expired tags.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
