Benicia Police Log: Two Cars Towed, One Trailer Stolen and an Update on a Missing Girl

Update on missing girl reported in yesterday’s Police Log:

Police have interviewed witnesses and believe the girl was not the victim of foul play and that she is safe and staying in Vallejo.  They are currently trying to locate and interview the girl so they can determine the best way to provide assistance to the family.

6:47 a.m.: A car was towed from Barton when it was discovered it was more than six months overdue.

7:25 a.m.: Another car was towed, this one on Southampton Road where it was a traffic hazard.

8:04 a.m.: Officers received a report of a suspicious person on Park Road.   The person was an employee at an area business.

8:36 a.m.: Officers began an investigation the theft of a trailer from a Park Road business.

8:49 a.m.:  Officers recovered a stolen vehicle on East Second Street.

9:46 a.m.: A resident on Dartmouth reported dogs barking in the area.  The resident reported that it is an ongoing problem, but the dogs were quiet when officers arrived on the scene.

2:55 p.m.: Officers began an investigation into the spray paint vandalism of a car on West K Street.

3:15 p.m.: There was a non-injury traffic collision on Kearney.

3:57 p.m.: The animal control officer will follow-up on a complaint of a dog barking on O’Farrell.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
