Benicia Police Log: Unruly Kids, Burglarized Cars and Stolen Money that Wasn’t Stolen

8:39 a.m.: A residential alarm on Addison malfunctioned.

9:14 a.m.: Officers left a note for the people associated with a barking dog on East K Street.  The person who trains barking dogs to disappear may want to offer services.

9:54 p.m.: Officers began an investigation into the theft of a garage door opener from a car parked on Arguello.

10:23 a.m.: There was a report of an aggressive dog at the dog park. Apparently the dog was chasing a ball and didn’t want other dogs to chase his ball.

10:42 a.m.: It was discovered that another car on Arguello had been broken into.

10:59 a.m.: A woman was in a physical altercation with someone she knew and thought some money had been stolen by that person.  It turned out the money was at her house and she decided not to press charges for the physical altercation.

10:59 a.m.: A computer was stolen from an unlocked car on York.

11:12 a.m.: There was another garage door opener stolen from a different car on Arguello.  Officers believe the same  person may have been responsible for all the thefts of items from cars on Arguello.

11:18 p.m.: The East K Street barking dog barked again.

3:33 p.m.: Officers gave some advice to a resident on Barton regarding a bee issue.

3:46 p.m.: Some kids on bikes were playing in the vicinity of the entrance to the water tower off Panorama but were gone when officers arrived.

3:47 p.m.: There was a malfunctioning alarm at a home on Panorama.

6:26 p.m.: Officers called for removal of a vehicle that appeared to have been abandoned on East L Street.

7:15 p.m.: Officers went to a home on East I Street where the children were being unruly and the mom was at her wits end.  They offered some parenting advice, referred the whole crew to the Family Resource Center and had a talk with the kids too.

7:21 p.m.: That really drunk person walking on West Second Street was given a ride home.

9:23 p.m.: Officers had a talk with a belligerent customer at a business in Solano Square.  They informed the person they were no longer welcome in that business.
