Police Log: A Car Recovered, Kids Hanging Out and A Daughter Asked to leave

9:55 a.m.: A resident on Sorrel was concerned that a neighbor’s car may have been vandalized.  Officers were told by the owner that the damage to the car was not vandalism.

11:51 a.m.: A resident on Riverhill had to get assistance from officers in order to get her adult daughter to leave the house.

12:09 p.m.: A vehicle reported stolen in Contra Costa County in December 2011 was recovered on Ardmore.  Police do not have any suspects in custody.

1:13 p.m.: Officers talked to a group of juveniles who were illegally firing an air gun inside city limits.

1:21 p.m.: A 48-year-old Benicia woman was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and for a parole violation.

2:02 p.m.: Officers received a report of a man hitting a woman in a car on Military East.  They were unable to find the car or the couple.

2:58 p.m.: The group of kids hanging out in a driveway on Daffodil was visiting a friend.

3:44 p.m.: A car tire was vandalized on West F Street.

3:54 p.m.: Officers were unable to find a car parked illegally on St. Catherine.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
