Police Log: Drunk Drivers and Goofy Kids Keep Cops Busy

There were some suspicious vehicles around town too.

At least one man was out to prove that he could drive better when he was drunk.  Fortunately for Benicia citizens the 71-year-old man was pulled over and arrested by officers who suspected he may have been drinking.  This was the  third time he was arrested by officers who suspected he had been drinking prior to getting behind the wheel.

There were a few calls about kids doing goofy kid stuff like flagging down cars and then running away when the cars stopped.

12:33 a.m.: Some suspicious noises on Hillcrest turned out to be a neighbor coming home late from work.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
