Police Log: Officers Recover Missing Person from Oregon
A girl reported missing in Oregon turned up in Benicia.
Monday was a good day for Benicia police. Malfunctioning alarms were not an issue and the barking dog was located though its person wasn’t. There were a couple of traffic collisions but, no one was injured.
8:29 a.m.: Police began an investigation into a non-injury traffic collision on Rose Drive near Matthew Turner School. The collision involved a car and a motorcycle.
8:53 a.m.: Officers left a note for the owner of a dog whose barking was disturing neighbors on Buchanan.

12:07 p.m.: There was a non-injury traffic collision on Southampton Road.
5:21 p.m.: Officers talked to the participants in a family dispute on East L Street.

5:24 p.m.: Officers documented a violation of a court order. They took the information at a residence on East Fifth Street.
5:40 p.m.: Officers arrested a 17-year-old juvenile on a no bail outstanding warrant. They took the young man to juvenile hall in Fairfield.
7:13 p.m.: A woman complained that a man had brushed up against her backside. The man said it was an accident. Officers urged him to be more careful in the future.
7:31 p.m.: Officers were able to locate two missing persons, a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old girl. The girl was taken into protective custody per a court order from Oregon.
7:59 p.m.: Someone lost a load of trash on Lake Herman Road. Officers and Public Works personnel responded and cleared the road.
10:34 p.m.: Officers had a talk with a man who was sending harassing phone messages and texts to a resident of East Second Street.
11:28 p.m.: Those noisy people on Buena Vista were asked to go inside the house. They did.
11:49 p.m.: That scream from a home on Military East came from a woman who was having a fight with her boyfriend. The boyfriend ran away and officers determined he was staying away for the rest of the night.
Editor’s Note: Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
