Patterson Wins Re-Election as Benicia Mayor, Defeating Schwartzman

The final tally gave Patterson 3,722 and Schwartzman 3,512.

The Solano County Registrar of Voters finished counting vote-by-mail ballots today and the result extends incumbent Benicia Mayor Elizabeth Patterson’s lead over her only challenger, Vice-Mayor Alan Schwartzman.

When asked to comment Patterson said, "I have an enormous amount of appreciation for the community and for my campaign committee.  We ran a damned good campaign."

"I think it's done," said Schwartzman. "I want to say thanks to everyone out there who supported me. The good words and thoughts I've gotten the last couple of days have been overwhelming."
