Supervisor Seifert Appoints Benician to Area Agency on Aging

This retired city manager gives a lot of time to Rebuilding Together Solano County.

Supervisor Linda Seifert today announced the appointment of Benicia resident Sarah Johnson to the Board of Directors of the Napa Solano Area Agency on Aging.  Johnson was unanimously approved to fill the seat at the Board of Supervisors meeting on November 22, 2011.

The purpose of the Napa Solano Area Agency on Aging is to plan coordinate, and advocate for the development of local programs to meet the needs of older persons and their caregivers.

“Ms. Johnson is a tireless worker full of good energy and creative ideas.  I know she will serve the senior residents of our County well,” Supervisor Seifert said of the appointment.

Johnson is an active retired resident of Benicia.  She served at one time as city manager of Kingwood, Texas and has her degree from Mercer College in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is currently very active in Rebuilding Together Solano County and in charitable work at her church. 

” I am honored to serve on the Agency on Aging and hope my experience in dealing with seniors for over 20 years and being one myself will help me serve the seniors in Napa and Solano County,” said Johnson.
